29th Jan 09 - Day 2

Like I mentioned in the previous post, we stayed in at Danau Toba Inn. The view was great, but too bad la, the room sucks.

We woke up at 7.30am I think. While waiting for Shereen and Alvin for breakfast, we went for a short morning walk around the Inn. It was quite windy that morning. Not to mention COLD. Note that we did not bring our sweater to Indonesia. Never know that the part we went can be sooo windy and cold -.-

Just right infront of our room.

Had breakfast. Not great but acceptable. These are some shots outside the restaurant.

Like I said, the view was O_O but the room was X_X

While waiting for our tour guide to pick us up, we went for a walk to their local market. No doubt it was dusty - cars everywhere honking non stop - but it was really a memorable experience cause you will never see it back in Malaysia.

We walked for about 30 minutes and we went back to the Inn because it was too dusty.

Salted fish, I think.

Indian dance, kononya.

By noon, our tour guide, Asdo picked us up to the ferry dock. Next stop - Tuktuk. And again, the journey was really windy and cold. We had 2 packets of kacang rebus in the ferry. Mmmmm..

Titanic

This was the best stay we ever had at Toledo Inn. Food was great, view was great and the room was fully furnished and comfortable.

The restaurant where we had our lunch and the view infront of our restaurant. Pretty isn't it?

View infront of our room! They have a mini garden woi. Syok la if BBQ or steamboat deng.

See this uncle so happy.

Headed to the lake. Water was freezing cold, strong current because of the wind. Fun.

Dinner at the restaurant again. Food was almost the same but we requested additional 1kg deep fry fish. Fresh from the lake!

B and I went for beer after that at the bar. Can you believe it, they have a bar! That's because most of the people at Tuktuk are Christians whereas people at Parapat (previous post) are Muslims.

I miss the trip =(
