30th Jan 09 - Day 3

Woke up at 8am and had breakfast. Had a short walk and took some shots before heading to our third destination. It was cooling that morning. Love the weather there.

Crystal clear water

Went to their local culture village - Hutasiallagan - nearby Toledo Inn, the place where we stayed. It is said that every village used to have a chief or they called it their 'king'. Each house has 3 levels. Ground floor - animals. 1st floor - Room. 2nd floor - store food. Note that they don't have any toilets. Instead, there's a hole located at 1st floor where they can 'detox' themselves. Once they are done, the defecate will be cleaned by the animals such as chickens and cows at ground floor. O_O

Whenever there's a crime, the king and the villagers will discuss on how to punish the guilty ones.

Souvenir street.

Then, another 3 - 4 hours drive to the peak of the mountain. We stopped by in the middle of our journey to have a cup of ginger tea because the weather was super duper cold!! The taste.. was.. AWFUL! Like our traditional Chinese ointment. Yeah taste exactly like that!

No we did not bring any long pants / sweater or anything close to that. So like damn gaya lor wearing short pants and tshirt whereas other tourist were wearing thick sweater with scarfs -.-

Reached the peak of the mountain 4 hours later. The view was breath-taking! Not to mention freezing cold!

Part of Lake Toba

Waterfall. The source of water to Lake Toba.

Reached our 3rd hotel at 7pm. Food was UGH. So I'm not gonna post pictures about it.

Leaving in 4 days time =(
