makan makan

food makes me fat. espcially for people like me who doesn't like exercising.
but i still love em' xD
Bro belanja makan the other day. at some restaurant named Elegant Inn.
love the atmosphere. love the food even more!
Besides, ever heard of a restaurant with only 7 table?
Well this restaurant certainly have 7 tables ONLY!
The restaurant is owned by a Hong Kong-nese.
and it seems like all the chefs goes for some special trainning every year!

today's menu.....



1st dish - Salmon & Abalone "lo sang"
love their lo sang. taste different than the usual ones.
hmmm.. what's that word again?
refreshing??



2nd dish - Double Boiled Chincken Soup with Dried Scallop
Chicken + abalone + dried scallop + "dong chong chou" = fuginlicious
Actually the ingredients above is just being used to boil the soup.
The actual, precious essence lays within the soup itself!



All the ingredients is being served together with the soup~

it's "dong chong chou" i dont know what is it called in english =/

it's a type of vege actually. that looks like a worm.

3rd dish - Triple Happiness Platter
hohoho. this is a very cool dish i tell u!
1. Soft shell crab with salted egg yoke
2. Stir fry escargot
3. Scallop wrapped with bacon

mamamiah~!!






Presentation: 10/10
Taste: 10/10


We drank a bottle of Champaign.

I'll be smiling in a minute and the next thing u know....
im drunk.

malu-ness. haven even finish my meals!


4th dish - Steamed Chinese Pomfret
The fish is veli the fresh.
even the soy sauce is nice!




5th dish - Australian Green Lip Abalone with Sea Cucumber & Fish Maw
I was quite impressed with the carvings on the pumpkin though =/

This is the best abalone i ever tasted!




6th dish - Braised Village Chicken with Dried Oyster & HK Sweet Veg
ahh this is something special.
Never thought that oyster and HK sweet veg actually married perfectly together!
7th dish - Assorted Mushroom and Vegetable

8th dish - Goose Liver fried rice
Many of them said that.. this is the best fried rice they ever tried.
Oh yes i absolutely agree!
See the amount of rice they given?
Just 3 spoon full and that's all.

This is definitely better than the goose liver i tried at Paris.
RAW goose liver ~_~
Amazed by the chef's while enjoying my fried rice bit by bit.
9th dish - Red Bean Soup with Glutinous Rice Ball
my favourite dessert!
I enjoyed the dinner.
It was delicious + satisfying + filling!
Went for my next round of makan makan and main main after my dinner.
Headed to Panda Leong's house.
